Japanese Stocks Drop On Commodity Traders, Financials
Tuesday, with commodity traders such as Marubeni Corp. declining on a pullback in crude oil prices and financials such as Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group dropping on worries about global financial markets.
The Nikkei 225 Average gave up 0.7% to 13,268.90 and the broader Topix index lost 0.9% to 1,301.65. Australia's S&P/ASX 200 rose 0.2% to 5,010.80 and New Zealand's NZX 50 index gained 0.6% to 3,139.12, while South Korea's Kospi shed 0.6% to 1,570.16.
