Companies have always had potential power, and on many occasions, they might use their power irresponsibly. Companies make mistakes, but companies are not intrinsically bad, as some people seem to look at it. Reputation and reputation management are well-established corporate buzzwords. Reputation is a little bit like Rollerblades and Rubik’s cubes. Everybody buys it out of craze but not many people are able to crack it.
The strategies for business reputation can be summarized as follows. 1. Be trustworthy. You must bear in mind that you can stand in the tough competition and emerge as a winner only by earning the trust of your customers. Customers are clever and they can very well recognize the worth of any company, so make sure you don’t try to befool any customers.
2. Ask for feedback and make sincere efforts to work according to it. Accept the company’s shortcomings brought forth through company’s feedback by customers or employees. This will certainly help the company to flourish and improve. Do not be arrogant in this matter.
3. Try and regain the earlier commitments. Make genuine efforts to earn back the earlier commitments and the deals made in the past.
4. Reliable information. Offer reliable information in the transaction papers and any other business that you are performing. Present the content in such a way that it is not misunderstood.
5. Active participation. Take interest in all the issues faced by the society and give 100% participation in the business meetings to make your presence felt as a responsible company and a respectable contributor to all the activities.
6. Maintain a proper record. To track down any unacceptable actions going on in the company, do not fail to keep a daily record of the activities of the company.
7. Look upon others with respect and dignity. Be humble and behave politely with everyone, no matter what position he/she holds. It should be ascertained that no one is treated with bias and no rude behavior should be entertained.
