Is one of the most interesting and beautiful cities in India, it's Botanical Garden, Museum, Zoological collection of Animals, Gas Works, Wind Palace, Riding and Fighting Elephants are Worth seeing, it has also a Meterological Observatory and a handsome City Palace. At the Place at Badel Mahal is a tank containing Alligators and Crocodiles a little farther to the north-west at Gaitore, are the Lofty marble engraved Canotaphs of the late Maharajas. A few miles away from Jaipur to the east in a valley called Galta are some tanks and Hindu Temples. Here on the pinnacle of a hill is the sun temple from whence a splendid view of the City can be obtained; a considerable amount of monkeys are to be seen at Gulta. A few miles to the north of the Hotels there is an ancient city called Amer, the Old Capital of Jaipur, surrounded by lofty hills, and here on the top of a hill is the magnificent and picturesque Palace of the Hotels there is a village called Sanganer where are to be seen fine Old Jain Temples. The city of Jaipur is mostly inhabited by natives and rich people, and very fine assorted pearls and precious stones of the old mines can be had here at moderate prices. It is noted for it's good pearls, precious stones and gold enameled articles and the honesty of the serchante in their dealings.
