Thyristor swithched capacitor banks

Thyristor switched capacitor banks with high-speed switching capability are designed to support the supply voltage of distribution systems and to correct the power factor of connected loads. Thyristor switched are resistant to mechanical wear, operate without noise and are capable of practically transient-free switching. The minimum time the control unit needs for switching all the steps of the capacitor banks on/off is the period of only one cycle.
