Sealing rings are used to prevent fluid or gas leaks by providing a barrier between two mating surfaces. The sealing ring must be able to maintain a seal under pressure and temperature changes. A number of different rings are available: pre-cut compression (flat or extruded style), formed-in-place, and cured-in-place.
