These murals are based on the famous ritual dance celebrated in south India in Kerela. This ancient ritual is a distinctive combination of religious worship and dance. This dance performance reflects the tradition and culture of tribes of Dravidian civilization. People living in south India consider Theyyam as god and secure blessings from him during the dance performance. This performance is a mix of musical instruments, dance, makeup and vocal recitation; its ritualistic annotations make it one of the enthralling theatrical arts of India. There are around 450 Theyyam and it represents a union of different religions, beliefs and traditions. We have strived hard to maintain the glory of the original art form yet jelling it with the needs of modern world.
