Preetham Products was started by Mr. B.J. Jawahar a Technocrat Entrepreneur, who was an Engineer in Bharat Dynamics Ltd. (A Government of India undertaking which manufactures Defense Equipment). After gaining immense experience as “Tool Design Engineer”, he quit his job in 1978 and set up Preetham Products for manufacturing of small precision turned parts. After streamlining activities in Preetham Products, diversified into manufacture of Electronics and setting up Turn Key Projects in the Overseas.

Mr. Jawahar is well supported by his wife Mrs. B.Vijayalaxmi, an Electronics Engineer who left her comfortable / convenient profession of working as a Lecturer in order to be an Entrepreneur. With the encouragement/association of her husband Mr. B. J. Jawahar, and with a vision to promote & develop “Lady Entrepreneurship” in pursuit of providing employment to the needy and help in thriving as self-sufficient individuals.
In this quest she went on striving for establishment of one unit after other for last 25 years. During this period like every Industry/Organization, she had to put up with many ups & downs and pressures to maintain/sustain those establishments. In 1978, Preetham Products bagged its first order for supply of Components to M/s. Hyderabad Batteries Ltd., a prestigious Nickel Cadmium Batteries Manufacturers.
