The proposed Computerised Battery Monitoring System (CBMS-4) would be used for measurement of battery capacity and plot the charge and discharge characteristics.The current and voltage levels are suitable for a Ni-Cd, Ni-Mh, SLA and Li-Ion battery.The battery shall be charged and discharged at the preset constant current levels.These can be set through the software. The maximum charge and discharge time shall also be settable for protection. The charging and discharging parameters shall be logged in the computer and the same can be viewed in the graph form or tabular form. The data can be stored and recalled for future use. The graphs can be printed for hard copy records. The following parameters can be logged using this system.
