Crape Yarn

Technically Polyester Crape Yarn can be explained as ‘Partially Bulky Twisted Yarn with the helical formation set on it. The purpose of manufacturing Crape Yarn is to give glamorous look to the fabric, of course with ease of wearing comfort. It has been practically proved that the fabric made from Polyester Crape Yarn is more comfortable with compared to fabric made from Polyester Filament or Polyester Crimp Yarn. This helical formation – the crape effect of yarn increases the air permeability of fabric which in turn increases the air circulation. One can easily differentiate and in turn appreciate the better feel, fall and drape of crape yarn fabrics with compared to fabric made from normal polyester yarns. In India/Surat, Crape Yarn is widely used in Ladies Fashion Fabrics, Sarees, Skarff etc., and also in polyester curtains, too.
