•Tissue Processor is an instrument for automatically processing tissue specimens for microscopic observation . To prepare tissue for preservation in its natural state , it must be processed through a calculated cycle of fixation to stop all enzyme activity , dehydration to remove all water and infiltration of paraffin to permit the tissue to be cut into sections for slide staining.
•Working: Tissues are inserted in stainless capsules or uni- cassettes , identified and placed into wire mesh baskets that are mounted on the hood for processing . The movable hood raises , transports and lowers the baskets through a series of ten glass beakers containing processing agents and two stainless steel pots containing hot paraffin . The tissue is sequentially submerged and oscillated in a fixative dehydrant and cleansing agents and finally immersed in paraffin .
