Product Description
A wide range of electrodes ranging from general purpose mild steel to stainless steel ,cast iron to nonferrous ,hard surfacing to low hydrogen are manufactured on most modern equipment.

We also manufacture wire for CO2/MIG, GTAW (TIG) and GMAW (MIG) processes & flux cored wires for carbon steel, stainless steel and low alloy steel. All our products are manufactured to conform to the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) as well as the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) Code, Section-II Part-C.

Principal Application

HARD ALLOY-200

Rutile type electrode for hard surfacing of carbon steels, low alloy steels etc.

Very stable arc, easily removable slag and smooth weld bead.

Performance is excellent on AC as well as DC.

Adequate penetration and convex bead ensures ideal weld deposits for surfacing applications to resist high degree of impact and medium abrasion.

Hardness: 200-300 BHN (on two-layer deposit).

Rolling stock types, Rails, Crank shafts, Oil expeller worms, Gear key-ways, Cog wheels, Rim gear, Wheel rim, Pulleys, Sugarcane rollers.

HARD ALLOY-400

Rutile type electrode for hard surfacing of steels subjected to wear due to impact and abrasion. Very stable arc, easily removable slag. Smooth transfer of alloying elements to weld deposit ensures completely crack free and sound weld metal. The weld metal is air-hardening type.

Hardness:350-450 BHN (on three-layer deposit).

SUPER HARD ALLOY

Special electrode with basic type of coating designed for surfacing of parts subjected to heavy abrasion. Very stable & smooth arc which ensures proper alloy transfer to deposited weld. Weld beads are flat and smooth. Slag is easily detachable. Hardness:525-600 BHN (on three-layer deposit).

Excavator teeth, Plough shares, Oil expeller worms, Cranes wheels, Cams, Cement die rings.

MODI-Mn

Basic coated electrode suitable for reconditioning of austenitic manganese steel parts. Adequate penetration and smooth transfer of alloying elements to weld pool ensures uniform weld metal. Slag is easily removable which leaves bead clean.

Weld Hardness:170-220 BHN

Work Hardness:400-500 BHN

MODI-600

Semi-basic coated hard surfacing electrode having good welding properties even on relatively low OCV transformers. Very easy to use and gives smooth weld surface. Resistance to cracking is good. Weld metal shows excellent resistance to tempering upto 500oC.

Hardness: 550-600 BHN (on single & multi layer deposit).

MODI-650

Basic coated hard surfacing electrode having good welding characteristics even on AC. Highly resistant to cracking and exhibits excellent resistance to tempering upto 500oC.

MODI - DIEHARD

Special purpose hard facing electrode with controlled hydrogen, which gives a deposit of low alloy steel in the weld metal. The weld metal displays excellent resistance to heat and retains hardness at elevated temperatures. The weld metal has high resistance to cracking.

Weld Hardness:375-430 BHN (on two-layers).

Suitable for surfacing hot forging dies. Repairing of hot working tools.

CARBO - CHROM

Special hardfacing electrode depositing chromium carbide weld metal involving severe abrasion with or without impact, oxidation and erosion.

Hardness : 500-600 BHN(on two-layer deposit).
