PVC insulation tapes are flame retardant and thus mostly used for protection of electrical parts and wires. To give it the desired insulation capacity, high voltage and temperature resistance, these are made of soft polyvinyl-chloride (SPVC) as backing material. The thickness of insulation tapes vary in between 120~190 mic. It has tensile strength of 15~30 N/cm and the temperature resistance comes in between 0-1 grade/5~6kv. For PVC insulation tape rubber is used as adhesive.
