Thermoplastic Permanent Blanket Adhesive

General

VAPCOAT – Blanket adhesive is a thermoplastic adhesive is a thermoplastic adhesive supplied in liquid form for the safe bonding of fabric on the blankets. The VAPCOAT Blanket adhesives are of three types mainly VAPCOAT-LT, VAPCOAT-MT & VAPCOAT-HT which are designed in such a way that tackiness is found only at a specific temperature. The thermoplastic adhesives are not tacky when they are old & dry.

VAPCOAT-LT, VAPCOAT-MT & VAPCOAT-HT are liquid, colorless adhesives which do not attack the printing surface of the machine belts.

Properties

VAPCOAT-LT, VAPCOAT-MT & VAPCOAT-HT are not affected by the usual printing auxiliaries & retain their adhesion and strength over a period of time. However it is difficult to predict definite time as it depends on many factors.

Application of Flatbed Machine

1.      First all clean the blanket & tension roll with ethyl acetate.

2.      Take 2kgs of VAPCOAT-HT & make even coating on the blanket with squeeze & run it for 2 hrs.

3.      Then after take 1 kg of VAPCOAT-HT & 1 kg of VAPCOAT –MT & mix it properly & apply on the blanket with squeeze & see that coating is done properly. Start washing machine unit.

4.      Before starting printing take 800 grams of VAPCOAT-MT & 200 gram of VAPCOAT-HT & mix it properly. Apply with the squeeze on blanket. The quantity is calculated for 40-meter blanket size.

Additional Coating

When it is found that tackiness is not proper additional coat of VAPCOAT-MT or VAPCOAT-LT mixed with VAPCOAT-HT, in the suitable ratio is applied depending upon the requirement. Make sure that washing unit is running.

Solubility

The VAPCOAT-LT, VAPCOAT-MT & VAPCOAT-HT are soluble in ethyl acetate.

Safety

1.      Always keep the container closed & keep it in a ventilated place.

2.      The materials are highly inflammable & always keep it at a proper place away from smoke, fire and from sources of ignition.

3.      Use protective gloves & wear glasses for safety of eyes.

4.      Do not smell the material.

5.      Dispose the carbuoys after washing & see that nothing remains inside.

Packing

VAPCOAT-LT, VAPCOAT-MT & VAPCOAT-HT are available in 10 kg packing.
