Centrifugal Jet Self Priming Pumps - CJS Series

Centrifugal Jet Self Priming Pumps - CJS Series
Centrifugal Jet Self Priming Pumps - CJS Series
Product Description :
C.R.I AKASH Centrifugal Jet Self-priming pump's volute chamber and impellers are designed to give the best possible hydraulic efficiency and suction lift characteristics. Sealing is by means of a bellows mechanical seal made of carbon and ceramic is fitted over the shaft, which is ground to close tolerance. These pumps are powered by a totally enclosed fan cooled A.C induction two pole motor suitable for continuous duty. Motor stator is made of low watt loss silicon steel laminations assembled under pressure and rigidly locked in the frame. Dynamically balanced rotor ensures vibration free and noise free operations and increases life of the bearings and seal. The windings are of high-grade enamelled copper wire and are varnish impregnated. Construction of motor frames and usage of quality materials result in high performance and low temperature rise thereby increasing the life cycle of the motor. A thermal cutout relay (motor protector) is incorporated in two pole single-phase motors. All single-phase pumps require an adequate starter/motor protection control panel.
Applications
    * Domestic
    * Hotels
    * Automobile service station
 Salient Features
    * High operating efficiency
    * Good suction lift characteristics
    * Designed for wide voltage fluctuations
    * Dynamically balanced rotating parts
    * Sturdy and compact
Location
The location of the pump should be such that the pump is easily accessible for regular inspection and it should be relatively free from dust, fumes and moisture. These pumps should be installed in a covered area, protected against the weather and it should not be installed in a tilted position. Do not wrap the pump with air tight materials such as polythene sheet, rubber sheet, canvas cloth, etc, as condensation will form in tightly wrapped motor and winding will burnout.
Important Instructions
    * The suction lift should be as short as possible
    * Install the pump according to our recommended head range
    * Muddy water will damage the pump
    * Use strainer at the bottom end of the suction pipe
    * Pump must not be operated dry
    * Install water level monitor to protect from dry running
    * Reduce number of bends, elbows, 'T' bends and valves as much as possible
    * Use appropriate size, good quality cable and starter / protection devices
    * The weight of the pipes should not be applied to the pump
    * Use ISI marked low friction good quality pipes
    * Do not throttle the delivery line using a gate valve, as this will result in overloading of motor
    * Pipe diameter must never be smaller than the pump connections
    * The pump should be run for few minutes once in 2 days to prevent from seizing.
