INSTRUCTION

The DEGF SPRAY FINISH gun has been finely engineering to provide with the finest result and the continuous production capability that you desire. To derive full benefits from the feature of the gun please follow the instruction given here.

Air Supply to Gun:

Ensure that the air supply is sufficient in volume (cfm) and pressure (psi) and is fee from oil, moisture and dust. Use a air filter cum regulator for best result.

Paint Supply:

The paint or the liquid being sprayed is to be used at the viscosity recommended by the manufacturer. Use the correct thinner to adjust viscosity. The paint container (gravity feed cup) is to be cleaned well before filling with paint.

Air Hose:

The air hose has to be of the correct diameter and should be resistant to solvents.

Installation and commissioning:

Ensure that the correct air cap and fluid nozzle combination is chosen on the gun. Use the selection chart given below for guidance. Attach the air supply line to the air Intel. A sir transformer installed as close as possible to the gun will provide filtered and regulated air.

Mix, prepare and strain the material to be sprayed according to the paint manufacturer instructions.

1.      Fill the gravity feed sup with the material. Do not overfill. Make sure that the vent hole in the cup lid is clear.

2.      Adjust the atomization air pressure to 35 psi.

3.      Open the spreader adjustment valve by turning the valve stem ante-clockwise.

4.      Close the fluid needle adjusting screw by turning close wise.

5.      Turn on the air at the source of supply and spray a test area by turning the fluid needle adjusting screw anti-clockwise until a full coat is obtained.

6.      If the finish is too sandy and dry, the material flow may be too small for the atomization air pressure being used. If the finish sags there is too much material flowing for the atomization air pressure being used.

7.      Both the above can be corrected by increasing of decreasing the atomization air pressure of the material flow. Pattern width can be altered by turning the spreader adjustment valve either clockwise to decrease the width or anti-clockwise to increase the width.

Cleaning

Turn off the air supply. Residual paint in the paint cup is to be detained back into the paint container. Wipe the exterior of the gun with a clean rag and solvent. Operate the trigge until all the traces of the material have disappeared and the gun is thoroughly clean.

To clean the air cap seak it in the clean solvent. Use the brush if necessary. To clean the air cap holes use a matchstick of a toothpick but never any metal object. The complete gun is never to be soaked in a solvent

Lubrication

At regular intervals the following parts are to be lubricated by placing a drop of oil.

a) Fluid needle packing

 b) Air Valve packing

c) Trigger Bearing screw.

Apply grease to the springs behind the fluid needle and air valve.
