Metallizing- Galvanizing / Aluminum:
Sprayed aluminum coatings are obtained my melting Al wire on an electric arc or gas flame, atomizing the molten particles which are then propelled by compressed air on to a blasted surface. Aluminizing is recommended by British standard BS:2569 (part 2) and Japanese standard JIS H 8301 for the protection of iron and steel against corrosion and oxidation at temperatures up to 1000 degrees Celsius.
Spray Galvanizing involves deposition of molten zinc or aluminum on to a prepared surface. The metal being sprayed is melted in an electric arc or flame, atomized by compressed air and then projected on to the substrate which has been prepared by sand/grit blasting.
