Background of "Sanghvi Family"

The word “Sanghvi” is the honors of the Jain religion which is given by the dharma guru for their devotees for pilgrimages to their well known and historical tirath the respective honors given to this family before 100 years ago. Sanghvi family originally has from a small village called Malgaon, situated in Sirohi District, Rajasthan.

Shri. Tarachand B. Sanghvi migrated to Mumbai in 1975 in search of better opportunities and set up a small business of Diamond Trading and his younger brother Shri. Mohanlal B. Sanghvi came to Surat at the same time and join the manufacturing unit in diamonds. He encourage to Tarachand Sanghvi to start Diamond Manufacturing. The inspired Tarachand Sanghvi to commence Diamond Export activities in the year 1981 along with his younger brother Mohanlal Sanghvi and Lalit Sanghvi. Mohanlal Sanghvi started unit of Manufacturing in the year 1981 and the hard work put in by them paid of and soon the business started flourishing. As the business prospered the family increased their Manufacturing facilities in several places at Surat, Navsari etc.

Over the year the business grew other relatives of the family also join the ever expanding business and contributed to the astonishing growth.

The firm Sanghvi & Sons a Government Recognized Trading House, and have all manufacturing units under SSI Categories, won the export award under the Non – DT C category. The firm is a pioneer in art of Cutting and Polishing of Diamonds. The firm has established state of art manufacturing facilities in Surat and there are six laser machines being used for Manufacturing of Diamonds.
