Chromatising Chemicals

Product Description

Chromatising Chemicals are used for pretreatment of aluminium before painting/power coating. Chromatising process imparts amorphous coating aluminium, which serves as an excellent for paints.

CONVENTIONAL & TANK PROCESS FOR CORROSION PROTECTION

(1) DEGREASING

Removal of oil, grease & oxide coating from aluminium surface

Diya DG 101	Alkaline Degreasing	5% w/v	10-15 min	RT to 65⁰C
Diya DR 101	Acidic Degreasing	25-33% v/v	10-15 min	RT

REMARKS :

1. For anodized articles and for those having large amount of oil, heavy duty ALKLIN chemicals should be used. This must as followed by desmutting process.

2. For non-anodized aluminium articles and for these having light to medium amount of oil, light duty ALKLIN chemicals at DIYA series of chemicals should be used. This may or may not be followed by desmutting process.

(2) DESMUTTING

Removal of smut and oxide layer from aluminium surface

For aluminium window sections, degreasing can be omitted as it does not have any oil but has smut and natural or anodic oxide coating.

(3) CHROMATING

Gives amorphous chromate coating on aluminium surface.

This coating prevents oxidation of aluminium.
