Sterilization

h Autoclaving (121ºC, 15 psig for 20 Minutes) Clean and rinse item with distilled water before autoclaving. Certain Chemicals which have no appreciable effect on resins at room temper ature may cause deterioration at autoclaving temperatures.

Always Completely Disengage Threads Before Autoclaving.

h Gas-Ethylene oxide, formaldehyde.

h Dry heat-160ºC for 120 minutes

h Disinfectant-Benzalkonium chloride, Formalin, Ethanol, etc.

h Radiation-gamma irradiated at 2.5 Mrad with ustabilized plastic.

h Sterilizing reduces mechanical strength. Do not use PC vessels for vaccum application if they have been autoclaved.
