| INITIAL CHARGING INSTRUCTIONS FOR INVASTARR RANGE OF TUBULAR BATTERIES |
| • Sp. Gr. of Acid during initial - 1.240 ± 0.005 at 27o C • Sp. Gr. of Acid at fully charged condition - 1.250 ± 0.005 at 27o C • Charging to commence at the starting rate and shall continues till the battery voltage shows 15.0 Volts for a 12 V battery. • Charging to continue till the minimum ampere-hour input given in the table is delievered to the battery. • Charging will be terminated only after three consecutive hourly readings of electrolyte specific gravity and top of charge voltages are observed to be constant during charging if the temperature of the electrolyte exceeds 50o C, charging is to be discontinued it can be resumed only after the electrolyte temperature has dropped to at least 45o C. • Once charging is completed as per 2 & 3 referred above, topped up to the maximum level with distilled water and the fully charged cell gravity shall be adjusted to 1.250 ± 0.005 at 27o C. |
