A welding power supply is a source which provides an electrical current to perform welding. Welding usually requires high current over 80 amps and few welding applications may need well over 1,00,000 amps. Low current can also be used; for example, welding two razor blades together at 5 amps using gas tungsten arc welding. A welding power supply can be a simple car battery or it can be as advanced as using silicon controlled rectifier technology, or IGBT technology with additional logical circuits involving data acquisition and supervisory controls to assist in the welding process.
We have designed and manufactured a number of welding power supplies using very sophisticated technology for high-end technology and critical applications of welding especially for nuclear sector, for which the accuracy, reproducibility and quality are of prime importance.
