"Hands of Compassion" trust was started four years ago with just four children. We started it in our house at Ambattur. Its Directors are Mr. Julius & Mrs. Sheeba Elizabeth. The children were sent to Matriculation school for education. It has now grown to twenty children. Situated in Redhills occupying an area of 1 acre land which was purchased by us in the year 2007. We also run a school there for these children.
About the children
All the children are from Tamilnadu and belong to various social backgrounds. They are 2- 14 years old. Most of them are orphans and some have single parent or guardian.We also have children from gypsy tribe who love to sing and dance. They came here with no knowledge of English but now they can speak English fluently. On their arrival they were scared and felt insecure but now, they have no fears and are happy.
The school
We have classes up to VIIth standard. We have appointed qualified teachers to teach them. Our infrastructure is very poor and we posses insufficient furniture due to which we face problem in accommodating all the children.
The Orphanage & School
We provide these children with food, Shelter, medical aid & quality education. We teach them good ethics & to be responsible citizens.We love them and care for them and have made efforts to alleviate their pain and loneliness and make them happy and give them a contented life.
Our Medical check ups
We arrange periodical medical check ups and get the help of good doctors who come as a team an administer treatment.With an aim to keep these children healthy we give them good diet and other health drinks and tonics and get them vaccinated timely.

For Food & shelter =Rs 350
For Education =Rs 300
For medical aid =Rs 100

What we have:
A hall used as class room during the day and as dormitory for boys at night.
A sick room, girls room and an office.
A hall used as class room during the day and as dormitory for girls at night.
A stage used for assembly, cultural activities and as dinning space for all meals as there is no other space for this purpose.
What we need:

New building for all classes.
