Harin's CR Primer is a chlorinated rubber based rust preventing primer for use on steel surfaces in combination with Harin's complete chlorinated rubber paint system.
Harin's CR Primer is quick drying paint and offers effective protection against corrosion. It is resistant to water chemicals fumes hostile Marine and Industrial environments. It also possesses sea water resistance very good adhesion to shop primers inter coat adhesion and subsequent coats even after prolonged weathering.

Surface Preparation
For New Steel: Abrasive blasting to Sa 2 1/2 finish is recommended. Use Zinc free shop primers for temporary protection. All damaged area of shop primer and contamination from storage fabrication to be thoroughly cleaned and damage of shop primer to be repaired by touch up before application of Harin's CR Primer.
For maintenance painting of Old Steel: Remove oil and grease by degreasing with suitable detergent / solvent. Remove salt and other contaminants. Remove loose rust and other loose material and then passivate the surface by application of rust converter or abrasive blast as per new steel before application of Harin's CE Primer.
Note: Derusting or Rust conversion a must before application of primer.
