How to use
Exterior performance of the products is critically dependent on adequate surface preparation and compliance of the application instructions as given below.
Surface Preparation
Newly plastered surfaces must be allowed to cure for at least 3 months before painting.
To ensure good adhesion, surface to be painted should be free dust. Grease and other loose materials. Any previous growth of moss, algac and fungi need to be removed thoroughly by vigorous wire brushing and cleaning with water. This treatment should be done with greater care on the top of the awnings, sunshades, parapets and other horizontal surfaces where water is likely to accumulate during rains.
Previously painted surface with oil paints should be sanded thoroughly to remove loose particles and made dull and matt for better adhesion. Exterior rough surface previously coated with cement paint should be wire brushed and washed with water thoroughly and allowed to dry. Ensure that the surface is free from chalking before painting.
Application of putty of filling compound should be avoided while painting on exterior surfaces. Cracks should be filled up using a cement and sand mixture in the ratio of 1: 3.
Application
Apply two coats of Harin exterior Emulsion by thinning I Litre of paint with 750 ml of water. However for freshly plastered surfaces apply one priming coat by thinning I litre paint with one little of water followed by two coats applied by thinning I litre paint with450 ml. Water Apply 3 coats on horizontal surfaces for good results.
A gap of 4-6 hours should be given between the two coats.
