BALLAST FOR UV-PROCESS / CURING LAMP.
characteristic which causes them to draw an increasing amount of current leading to
immediate destruction if operated directly from the power line.
Ballast is a device designed to deliver proper voltage and current to start and regulate
the electric discharge lamp for it efficient use and life.
We have specialty in the manufacture of the custom base ballast for the high rating
electric discharge lamp. These are designed and manufactured to meet not only
customer specification, but also our own standard of workmanship and performance.
Such ballast are available for the lamp ranging from 2KW to 19KW. Our ballast is shortcircuit
protected, the output current is limited to the maximum lamp current in any
eventuality
We manufacture below mentioned core and coil type Ballast only.
1) Constant Wattage Isolation ( CWI ) Ballast.
Our core and coil type ballast is open type design and mounted inside the panel board
of the equipment.
It consist of two or three copper wire wound coil fitted on the electrical – grade – steel
lamination. Ballast is vacuum impregnated in varnish for hum – free operation and long
life. We use copper wire with ‘F” class insulation and adhere to IS 13730 specification.
We use dry type capacitor as per IS 2993 with sufficient voltage safety.
We also make Bi-level ballast as per customer requirement.
Constant wattage design for stable operation, Lamp output wattage is maintain
within 5% for the input voltage variation about -15% to +10%.
Switchable capacitor bank to lower the lamp power for Low-High OR Low-
Medium and High selection to increase the lamp life.
Several voltage taps on secondary side to compensate the effect of lamp
degradation.
All termination on the ballast with proper terminal block, with proper marking for
ease of wiring and safety.
High quality low loss grain-oriented core material for higher efficiency.
High power factor for combination of ballast, capacitor and lamp.
Can be used with various lamp sources like Philips, Western Quartz, Primearc,
Theimer,
