A stiff, heavy consistency compound formulated with thermally stable silicone oils. It has very good resistance to acids, alkalis, steam, ammonia, refinery gases and many other such chemicals. It retains its consistency over a wide temperature range and even under prolonged exposure to such materials and atmospheres. It has excellent adhesion properties, inertness, oxidation stability and a very low rate of volatility. It can withstand extremely low as well as extremely high pressures and can even be applied to vacuum systems. It also has exceptional sealing ability and can be used as a lubricant-cum-sealant.
