Hanger brackets for suspending working scaffold or platform floors from overhead supports. Paired legs adjustably and pivotally joined together in scissors arrangement have finger ends for engaging overhead beams or elements thereof as depending portions of the legs that extend beneath the centre pivot are moved inwardly.
