Electrode Holder

J.K. Tools & Traders is an authorized distributor and dealer of Electrode Holder which is procured from Weld Star and confirming to IS: 2641 1989.

Fully insulted electrode holder type-A, suitable for adverse welding conditions like shipbuilding or welding in enclosed conditions like vessels etc. Available in 3 ranges of rated current i.e. 600 amp., 400 amp., and  200 amp. It is designed for safe and comfortable welding, provides easy and effective connection of cable to holder. Its jaws made from nonferrous metal alloy, provide longer service life.

Semi insulted electrode holder type –B, suitable for general open shop conditions like construction, fabrication, dock yard and floor shop etc. Available in 3 ranges of rated current i.e. 600 amp., 400 amp., and  200 amp. It is sturdy, long life well designed for safe and comfortable welding fitted with guard of very low flammability insulting material to prevent accidental contact with any life or hot part of the holder. It shall have the provision for alternative positions for gripping electrodes to avoid the necessity for bending the electrodes when welding in different positions.

Features:

·         Insulation resistance test shall be measured using a DC voltage of 500 volts

·         High voltage test shall be measured using 1000 volts for Type –A holder and 2000 volts for type –B holder

·         Temperature rise test shall be carried out for 2 hrs. as per IS:2641-89 clause 5.3.3

·         Test for flammability and resistance to heat shall be carried out as per IS: 2641-89 clauses 5.3.7

·         Impact test by vertical fall and lateral impact test shall be carried out as per IS: 2641-89 clauses 5.3.6
