English Grammer and composition

A Book of English Grammar and Composition is designed for students of secondary classes. The book not only helps students to gain proficiency in English but also prepares them for the Board Examinations at the end of class IX and X.

Grammar - Covers the entire range of grammatical items expected to be learnt at the secondary level. Provides useful explanation in precise, simple and lucid language. Teaches grammar in real life situations.

Writing - Uses both verbal and non-verbal stimuli to encourage students to produce effective and interesting pieces of writing. Contains units based on themes such as descriptions of people, places objects, report writing, note-taking, preparing notices, letter writing etc.

Reading -Provides a variety of carefully chosen texts from newspapers, magazines, biographies, science, travel, and recipe books.Develops skills of reading including predicting, guessing meaning from the context, understanding the main idea, and reacting to the text.

Appendix  - Deals with word formation, words in everyday use, and a list of irregular verbs.

 Teacher’s Book - Provides suggested answers to all the activities included in the book.
