KROMATIKS is engaged in the manufacture and marketing of COLOUR PASTES (PIGMENTS) for FRP (Fibreglass Reinforced Plastics), cultured marble, Sheet and Dough moulding compounds, and epoxy resins. The company became operational in mid-1989 using leased out plant and machinery well before its own bank facilities were sanctioned.
The company is headed by its founder and Managing Director Ms. Ratna Chibber, a technocrat-entrepreneur who has a vast experience in the field of polymer sciences. She started her career with a company manufacturing polyester resins and epoxy resins and was involved in promoting the sales and marketing of the products also.
During her tenure as an E.D. she saw the enormous potential the colour pigments market had. Combined with this was her fascination for colours and keen interest in fine arts. In time, she resigned her job and started KROMATIKS.
In the initial phase, operations were restricted to the southern parts of India. Gradually, KROMATIKS extended its services to the rest of the country, soon securing a place with the top customers in the FRP field. The next step was inevitable - export. KROMATIKS now exports its products to countries across the globe, from Sri Lanka, Vietnam, China to South Africa and countries in Europe and the Middle East.
In the mid-nineties KROMATIKS diversified into colour pastes for epoxy resins for castings, encapsulations, coatings and building materials. Today it has among its customers many renowned companies in the field.
With the advent of polyurethanes, KROMATIKS did pioneering research in the area of polyol-based pigment pastes for Flexible foam, Integral skin and Rigid foam. So far the pigments were being imported from Germany and USA. In the next few months KROMATIKS plans to export to countries like the USA and Germany. As far as local sales are concerned KROMATIKS continues to be the undisputed market leader.
