KUSTERS CALICO MACHINERY LIMITED (KCML) is a Joint Venture of Eduard Kusters Maschinenfabrik GmbH & Co. KG (EKK) of Germany and Calico Industrial Engineers (Calico) of India.The Kusters Group employees 1300 people in Krefeld and its subsidiaries in Germany , the USA , India and Brazil and has a turnover of DM 400 Million. It has ISO 9001 certification.
Calico was established in 1946 and manufactured textile machines such as Shearing and Cropping, Singeing, Dyeing, Bleaching, Mercerising, Hydraulic Jiggers, Decatising, Yarn, Dyeing, etc. Some of these machines were manufactured with technical assistance of European manufacturers such as Kusters, Menzel, Menschner, Gerber, Ernest Turner (Parex) etc. Many of these machines were exported to East Germany, Czechoslovakia, Thailand, Indonesia, etc.
KCML has a built up area of 9000 sq. mts. The Company manufactures the textile machines of Kusters Range for bleaching, dyeing, washing, mercerising and also Calico range of machines.
Engineers from Eduard Kusters have spent several months with our engineers and workmen to teach them modern methods and impart German work culture. Even now exchange of personnel from Germany to India and vice versa is a regular phenomenon.
All our departments are equipped to meet the requirements of the customer. Regular quality checks of the components at each stage ensure accuracy and reliability of the final product.
During the last 10 years we have supplied State-of-the-Art Machines to several reputed Textile Mills in India such as Arvind, Premier, Dinesh, Lovely Fabrics, S. Kumar's, Bombay Dyeing, Raymond, Century, Bhilwara, Zenith, Hindoostan, Shri Krishna, United Bleachers, Balkrishna Industries, Super Sales Agencies, Hanung Textile, Soma Textile, Asarwa Mills, LNJ Denim. We have also exported sub-assemblies to our parent company in Germany for integration into their products.
Since our inception, we have a service centre to facilitate the sales and service of spares for Kusters Range and Calico Range of products.
Apart from the above textile machinery the plant also manufactures machinery for Flexible Packaging Industry for processing of Aluminium Foil, Plastic Film and Paper, in technical collaboration with Polytype of Switzerland. They include :

•Coating & Laminating Machines for solventless adhesives.
•Coating & Laminating Machines for water and solvent based adhesives.
