Redevelopment - Chandigarh Housing

Proposal and paper submitted at conference on 50 years of Chandigarh.

The housing scheme is basically an aggregate of several smaller components - a small cluster of dwellings with an open space and a number of such clusters forming the super cluster.

The housing is introverted with entry to individual houses through semi public spaces. There exists a hierarchical system of spaces with private terraces or courts leading to smaller community spaces shared by cluster to a larger community space shared by a super cluster.
