Nesting Software

ESAB offers NESTING SOFTWARE to optimise plate utilization and reduce scrap while profile cutting plates using CNC profile cutting machines.

The software has following features :

● Automatic nesting of large number of shapes/stocks in one go

● Nesting on rectangular as well as non-rectangular stocks

● Support for fitting small shapes inside bigger shapes

● Support for punch, lead in, lead out and clamp objects

● Support for grain direction for each shape and stock

An advanced version of the software is also available with the following features:

● Automatic tool path sequencing with corner and direction control

● Automatic lead in / lead out generation for nested layout

● Automatic skeleton off cut generation after nesting

● Easy interface for modifying nested layouts with auto validation

● Powerful visual tools for viewing the nested layouts and toolpath

● Parametric shape library, with drawing manipulation tools

● Stitch cutting for thin long shapes

A personal computer with 200MHz or higher processor, 32 MB RAM Windows 95 operating system and AutoCAD software will be required to nest the parts. The nested parts can be transferred to the CNC controller through a floppy or directly through a cable connecting the PC and the controller.
