The recent development of dual-slot mobile phones means that e-purses can now be reloaded via a mobile phone, and payments "over the air" through the mobile phone network's SMS system to a payment server will be possible soon.
The set-top-boxes issued by Pay-TV operators also accept payments by e-purse, both for access to Pay-TV and soon for payment at Internet sites accessed via the television set.
