Since its establishment in 1990 by Dedhia Group, we have been into manufacturing and exporting of moulding products like mouth jars, mouth drums, jerry cans etc. Starting with a small working space, a small production range, with very few Resources at hand, has today transformed as the leading manufacturer of a wide range of products in the blow molding, injection molding and also customised molding (combination of processes) catering to specific customer needs.

Our Tarapur unit has set an achievement by acquiring IS:6312 and UNO No. certifications as per IMDG code. Our success is evident enough as our turnover is approximately INR 2 crore. Under the able guidance of our mentor Mr. Sanjay Dedhia, we are efficiently setting up new industry standards to ensure manufacturing quality products for our clients. Presently our exporting division is catering into both domestic and international markets.

 

Our Group Companies

MitsuChem has two group companies: MITSU IMPEX and LILADHAR VIRJI & CO.

MITSU IMPEX: The products provided under this group are packaging products, bottles and containers. Under MitsuImpex, we also facilitate in event management.

LILADHAR VIRJI & CO.: Our products and services provided under this group company comprise of Commission Agents, Grain Brokerage and Oil Merchants.

We manufacture a wide range of products that comprises of automotive products, bottles, full open top drums, furniture parts, jerry cans, narrow mouth carboys, textile bobbins and wide mouth carboys. All these products have striking features such as:

Infrastructure

We have been gradually expanding our manufacturing space to increase the productivity and manufacturing capacity. In 1990, all we started with was a well-equipped unit spreading in 1000 square meters. In 1995, we could make it up to 2000 square meters. Moving ahead in our endeavor to grow, we have further added in early 2007, another plot of 3400 sq. Mts in Tarapur to cater to niche products. Presently we have a significant plot area of 5400 square meters.

Currently we have three manufacturing units which are well-equipped with the latest moulding machines. Since our establishment, we have been consistently delivering the quality products to our clients. In the year 1990, we started with an installed capacity of 28 mt per annum. With systematic expansions in phased manner and by upgrading and empowering ourselves, we took our installed capacity to 250 mt per month in a span of 15 years.

We are a rapidly growing company. We had started off with a small team which has turned into an increased manpower of eminent capacity by now. Today, we have 90 employees working in our company. We have an efficient HR department to solely monitor and manage our employees by helping them with their suggestions and queries coming across day by day.

 

Testing Facilities

Quality is one of our prime concerns therefore we have fully automatic machines for the testing at various levels. These are operated by highly skilled operators under strict supervision to control proper quality and efficiency. We have in-house testing facilities for all the tests necessary as per the measures set under IS:6312 and UN approved certification standards. Following types of testing are carried out before the products are ready to be delivered:

• MELT FLOW INDEX:

We have input raw materials as HDPE, HMHDPE, Masterbatches. These are categorized as lots. These lots go through Melt Flow Indexer (ASTM D-1238), which are further assigned with batch no. Thereafter these are issued for production. In this way, the quality of the materials are controlled and kept in records for references.

• DROP TESTING:

We have a unique Drop tester installed on which we can drop water-filled containers from any height and angle as required.

• HYDROSTATIC TESTING:

This test is carried out to check the leakage or rupture. The containers go through hydraulic gauge pressure of 1.1 kg/sq.cm in it for 5 minutes.

• PNEUMATIC TESTING:

This test is carried out to ensure that there is no leakage or rupture. An air pressure of 0.35 kg/sq.cm is supplied inside the containers for one minute.

• PIN HOLE TESTING:

The containers are drowned deep in to the water tank to check the hole or leakage.

• STACKING TEST:

An equivalent weight of the total weight of filled containers is kept on a flat surface resting on the top of the containers for a period of two weeks. This tests that there is no bend or deformation or leakage. This ensures safe stacking during transport.

• Closure Leakage Testing:

To check that there is no leakage from the closures, the water-filled containers are kept upside down on a flat surface for an hour.

• Handle Strength Testing:

This test is carried out to check the strength of the handles of the containers. The containers are allowed to fall down freely from 250 mm while picked up with the support of its handles and three drops are done in this situation.
 
• Wall Thickness Testing:

To carry out this testing, vertical and horizontal cuttings are done on the walls of the containers. These cut-sections are checked to establish uniformity in wall thickness all around the container.
 
• Print Adhesion Testing:

This test is carried out for checking printed matter on the product’s outer surface. An adhesive tape is used on the containers and removed after an hour. This ensures that there is no damage done to the printed matter in long term.
