Footwears - Biodegradable & ecofriendly

Footwears - Biodegradable & ecofriendly
Footwears - Biodegradable & ecofriendly
Product Description :

We wish to introduce a unique product, first of its kind in India & abroad.

These slippers are made with bio-degradable & eco-friendly materials. Only the sole of the slipper is rubber, which is also not totally indecomposable as plastic or related materials.

Sole : The top of the sole otherwise known as flap of the slipper (where the foot touches the slipper) is protected with Arecanut palm sheath to give a complete natural feeling to the user. The smooth surface of the areacanut sheath won't make the sandals slippery because of its natural thin groves.

The arecanut sheath gives a natural warm feeling to the foot. It is exceptionally good to old age people, rheumatic patients and for patients during convalescence. The Arecanut sheath sandals are good to use in cold weather. It is also recommended to avoid corns in the foot. The palm sheath flaps stimulates the nerve endings in the foot to give improved reflex. It is recommended by Ayurvedic doctors.

Strap : The strap of the slippers are made out of natural fiber. The fiber used in these slippers are obtained from banana plants and pleated into various models of the strap in mixed colours.

The slippers are available in V strap, T strap & T wide strap models. Custom made straps also can be arranged.

Durability: These slippers are durable as any other conventional type slippers of this category. They can be used indoor as they are soft & spongy and good to use outdoor as they are hard & durable.

Packing:  Wrapped in butter paper. Further packed in paper bags with jute / cotton straps.

Note : These slippers are made by village women with locally available raw materials. The unit is managed & operated by women. This project helps 18 women workers directly and more than 100 families indirectly.
