2. It is used in making adhesive for envelopes & corrugated boxes. It is also used as a binder in refractoriness.
3. In the mining industry as additives in froth flotation (Froth flotation is a process for selectively separating hydrophobic materials from hydrophilic)
4. In the foundry industry as green strength additives in sand casting
5. As printing thickener for batik resist dyeing
6. As binders in gouache paint.
