Air starting valve provides a smooth pressure transition gradient from atmosphere to vacuum.
A small .062-inch diameter adjustable aperture is activated independently from the main valve opening. Regulation of air flow through the bypass valve is made using an adjustment screw and observing the pressure change. Once the correct setting has been empirically determined, the adjustment screw is held in place with a knurled lock nut to assure consistent and repetitive air flow.
The air start is activated first through a solenoid valve. Once the chamber pressure has reached a predetermined level, a set point on a controller may be used to activate a separate solenoid valve for the major valve opening.
