They can be used in powdered form (PAC), which are dosed to successfully deal with seasonal variations in concentrations of these contaminants. Alternatively, it can also be used in granular form (GAC), which is permanently installed for dealing with continuous, unpredictable and accidental contamination. This carbon is mostly used for removing colors and odour from water by dosing in the water treatment systems.
