We have an installed capacity of 150000 KM FRP rods annually of different diameter range.

The Process

The thermal pultrusion of FRP Rods involves pulling of continuous glass fibers through a dip of liquid resin blended with catalysts. The resin impregnated rovings are then pulled through a round die to partially pre-shape the fibers & remove excess resin. It is then passed through a heated die where the resin gets cured to become solid leading to FRP formation. The die determines the exact diameter and finish of the FRP rod. The rods are continuously pulled by a speed controlled capstan and then gradually cooled to bring the FRP rod at the ambient temperature and finally wound on a spool drum placed on a speed and tension controlled winder. The rod is finally cut when the desired length is wound on the spool. Suitable coating on FRP is also provided as per the requirement of the customer.
