Brief History
After that the trust purchased its own land and build up an infrastructure of about 6000 Sq.ft. that is ground + Three level building. This was a major achievement for Shri Meghani Education Trust as it was one of a kind in its own place. The building is equipped with all the modern facilities. The institute is located in the West Zone of the Surat city in a rural area where the population is poor and lower middle class, where they have to seek their daily bread every morning. Along with time as the institute became popular among the area, it got a good response from the local public, as well as the nearby and surrounding villages. There are about 25 to 30 numbers of small and big villages surrounding this particular area. People from these surrounding villages also come to get the benefit of different training courses. Not only the local public of Surat city and the surrounding village peoples, but also peoples from out station come to the Institute in Surat for training because according to these students opinion there is no such institute, who serves only for the poor women and makes them self – employed.

Words from Managing Trustee (Mr. VinodKumar Meghani)
It is a great honor to introduce myself to you all and I feel like a dream came true. Shri Meghani Education Trust was established in the year 1998 with the first ray of the rising Sun. When I was a child I was very attached to my mother. As that I was very fond of my mother and had great respect for women. India is a religious country, where women is treated and respected next to god. These things I and every average Indian have studied in their school days, but these thought of women employment, empowerment and upliftment stroked in my mind like lightning. Since childhood I made up my mind to do something useful and different at a low cost for the poor and needy women. At last the grand day came in my life and I established Shri Meghani Education Trust only for the welfare and upliftment of women. Different women welfare courses are conducted in Shri Meghani Education Trust like Beauty-Parlor, Sewing & Knitting, Embroidery work, Jardoshi work, Mehandi, Cooking class, Spoken English class, Computer class etc. and that to at a very low rate compared to the market prices. About 6000 women have taken part in the training programmes and have become independent; we are still counting and hope that more and more women take part in the training programmes conducted by Shri Meghani Education Trust and earn on their own.
Shree Meghani Education Trust is a ray of light in the life of such poor peoples who hardly can ever think about high quality education at a lower cost, for such peoples whose lives end up earning their daily bread from morning to evening. It will not be too much if I say that Shri Meghani Education Trust is a jewel in the Surat city for the poor people, working only for their betterment. Now I realize that unknowingly I have paid a great tribute to my very dear mother. I always when get up from my bed the first thought that comes in my mind is “Today I will help a needy, not only providing him / her their daily needs, but also making them self sufficient by educating them” this world is full of sorrows and miseries my friend, where education is must. No problem if you have left your education due to some or the other reason, there is still a hope and that you know - Shri Meghani Education Trust.
One thing you should always keep in mind that “Winners don’t do different things, but they do things differently, my friend”. Losers are not those who fail, but people who stop trying are the Real Losers. Now decide yourself who you are?
Thanks & good luck for the rest of your life.
Words from Our Principal (Smt. Anitaben)
It is a great pleasure of mine to be in front of you saying few words about Shree Meghani Education Trust. Mr. VinodKumar is my husband, but I would like to say that the chairperson of Shree Meghani Education Trust is a visionary man with high thinking and simple living. Today we are established but the scenario was not like today, before the year 2001. “Every good deed is a work of god” and so shall was this. We both started these good deed years before and now a small has converted in to a big tree, I myself being a housewife look after my family and the institute. As you have read earlier our chief functions and operation, apart from that the poor women learning sewing and knitting work are also provided sewing machines at free of cost. I personally look after those trainee women who all are widow or single parents with their child responsibility. We encourage them by providing free of cost training, legal service help, guidance for job and interview, placements, personality developments seminars, etc.
Our vision and mission is one and the same “To establish such unique training institutes in every village for the poor & needy people”.
We also campaign about our institute and training programmes in the villages nearby and far away. That student who cannot afford to come to the training center for training, our staff is available to teach them at their very own place. These students include senior citizens, children, working women and housewives. They are also awarded certificates of the training programme.
Moreover we have started a motivational campaign called “Women Literacy & Rehabilitation – 2009” under which we have trained the lower class poor women. This training consist of small professional courses like Sewing & Knitting work, Embroidery work, Mehandi, Jardoshi work, Beauty Parlor, Pre P.T.C. training, Child health & Care, Spoken English, Computer Skills and courses etc. since January 2009 we working for women literacy and not only the villagers but also the city peoples are taking advantage of this programme.
