
These are generally manufacturer as custom made where the separation is required to the highest purity of material. The material to be made free of iron particles is passed over the first magnetic drum and again in continuous process fed to the second magnetic drum and similarly to the third. This process ensures the purity of the materials of the highest order.

Magnetic Drum:-
Made from strong corrective, powerful ceramic magnets, its radial magnetic design eliminates dead spots, it’s is completely maintenance free.
Motor: - A3- phase or single phase motor, to operate the drum
Hopper:- Designed to allow the material to fall on the drum fitted with regulator to control the flow.
Reduction Gear:- A simple mechanism to reduce the speed. It’s easy to maintain & economical.
The working is shown in above figure. There are two drum inside and outside. The inside one is stationery and consists of powerful anisotropic magnets. The magnets effects are kept over approximately half of the circumference. The outer drum is made of S.S. and revolves around the inside drum. The powerful magnetic field attracts and holds the ferrous particles on outer drum, the outer drum has ribs which carry the iron particles to the region of non magnetic portion and thereby releases the iron particles on the outer side of the driver.
