Material:

style 2006 FDA is diagonally braided from a recently developed long-drawn-out PTFE yarn, filled with extremely refined mineral filler particles, treated with FDA-conform mineral oil.

Properties:

Very impressionable and flexible packing with low coefficient of friction, barely any shaft wear. The filler particles within the yarn improve the heat transfer properties as well as lubricant amalgamation and preservation over a longer period. Excellent chemical resistance. Simple to install, needs little gland adjustments. Conforms to FDA regulations.

Application media:

The chemical inertness of PTFE creates this packing appropriate for use with almost all fluids, including the most corrosive acids and alkalis, while the FDA conventionality allows for use with foodstuffs, pharmaceutical products and potable water.

The very low coefficient of friction of PTFE, combined with the heat-transmitting properties of the filler material, allows senior shaft speeds than with conventional PTFE packing.
