Material composition:
G-Lon is a non-asbestos joint sealant material creates from PTFE and an electrically conductive stuffing material. The entire production procedure is subject to severe quality control, registered under DIN EN ISO 9001.
Properties:
Because of the outstanding thermal and chemical resistance of G-Lon, it can be used in a broad diversity of still applications in almost all kinds of the industry. The excellent softness of expanded PTFE can recompense for out-of-parallel and/or damaged sealing surfaces and allows the use with pressure sensitive connections and applications where only a incomplete flange weight is available. An extra advantage is the excellent electrical conductivity of G-Lon; conservative expanded PTFE-tapes – made from pure PTFE – are not conductive.
Application areas:
Archetypal applications are the sealing of flanges and alike connections, and where an electrically conductive joint sealant material is necessary.
