Stainless Steel 316 Casting

Stainless Steel SS316 is "soft" compare to other material e.g. Cast Iron, Duplex stainless steel, etc. due to it has high ductility. However, high ductility of stainless steel makes good material resist cavitations. The main reason is due to work-hardening property of Stainless Steel. Hammering a SS316 strip would lead to surface work-hardens and difficult to change the shape.
