Product Description
DRAFT GEARING UNIT
Simple and versatile, ball bearing supported with Helical Gear to have noiseless and frictionless running for optimum power saving. With provision for wide range of settings. Easy to change draft wheel and break draft wheel. Catch set is provided to avoid end breakage while starting the frame. For all make of the ring frames, original type of front roll brackets are provided. Hence need not alter the gearing end frame.
ROLLER STANDS
Made out of good-grained cast iron having provision for wide range of second and third bottom roller slide settings. Both 45 degrees and 60 degrees plane angles are available. Adjustable bottom fixing arrangement to forward or backward to get the desired spinning angle.
BOTTOM ROLLERS
EN 9 INDUCTION hardened and ground to close tolerance. Opposite helix flutes to have zero axial thrust on top rollers and fiber will have continuous contact between Top and Bottom rollers.
TRAVERSE MECHANISM
Simple in construction. Easy adjustments of traverse. Maximum of 10 mm traverse can be given. Differential type of drive is given for smooth traverse to avoid jerking.
NOSE BARS
Recessed type to have a better short fiber control. Nose bars are fitted on the second roller slide. For short, medium and long Cradles suitable recessed Nose bars are available. Nose bars are of SKF profile.
BOTTON APRON TENSIONING DEVICE
Easy to replace the apron. Spring loaded Dead roller Weight Nylon bearing fixed on the Mild Steel fork to avoid wear and tear of cast iron Dead Roller Weight and Fork also for smooth running of bottom apron.
INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
Push the pendulum arm on to the support rod. Fit the support rod to the stands and secure it firmly. Set the draft field gauge. Unload the pendulum arm, loosen the socket headed screws of the loading elements, place the draft field gauge on the arm, then push the screws against the gauge and tighten them.
Remove the draft field gauge.
Set the distance gauge to half the gauge of the roving guides.
Fit the rear top roller, the top apron roller with aprons and cradle, and the front top roller in their respective guide arms.
Bring the pendulum arm into its operating position.
Use the distance gauge to adjust the arm in accurate mid-position between its associated roving guides.
Place side "A" of the height gauge on the front guide arm and push the gauge into the frame. Turn the height setting screw by means of the hexagonal key until the stop of the pendulum arm comes to rest lightly on the height gauge.
After setting one side of the machine, check the height position of the pendulum arms and readjust where necessary. Then tighten the locking screw.
The pendulum arm does not require any servicing beyond cleaning of its outside the drafting mechanism is cleaned.
