The quality of SF-deep-bed filter not depends on perfected technology for manufacture but also the use of first-class raw materials. The design and structure of deep-bed filters can thus be compared with an extremely fine-mesh three-dimensional screen with countless branches. Particles and microorganisms are held back mechanically in an increasingly fine labyrinth of pores. Here the particles are deposited in the pores of the filter medium.

Application

Optimum selection of the filter bed firstly involves maximum volumes while maintaining a sufficient level of filtration efficiency. Other key criteria are pressure differentials and flow speeds. To prevent bleeding certain filtration speed should therefore not be exceeded depending on the filtration type and medium.
