Procedure to receive money from anywhere in the world :
1. Complete the "To receive money" form.
2. The mandatory fields include: sender's name, sender's city/country, expected amount and Money Transfer Control Number (MTCN). Contact the Sender for the MTCN to receive money.
3. Present the completed form and valid photo identification to the clerk at the Agent location. Additional restrictions may apply.
4. Collect funds and receipt. Collect money and receipt from the us. Additional restrictions may apply.
Procedure to send money to anywhere in the world :
1. Complete the "To send money" form.
2. Choose from two options:
1. have the receiver pick up the funds at a convenient Agent location or
2. have the money delivered to the receiver at home.
3. Give the clerk the amount you want to send plus the transaction fee.
4. Collect the Receipt. Be sure to save the receipt with your Money Transfer Control Number (MTCN) and share the MTCN with the receiver. The receiver will need this number to collect the funds. This number is also used to track the status of your transaction.
Regulations and Restrictions for receiving amount in India :
1. As a government requirement, maximum payout amount is not more than $2,500 US Dollars (or IN Rupee equivalent) per transaction.
2. Maximum cash payout for all Indian nationals and all residents (Indian or Foreign) is 50,000 IN Rupee; Payouts over 50.000 in Rupee will be paid by local crossed check only.
3. There is no cash Payout limit for foreign passport holders in India.
4. As a government requirement, a payee can only receive a maximum of 12 transactions per calendar year.
5. Payee must present valid identification.
6. Payee must present correct Money Transfer Control Number (MTCN).
7. For home delivery transfers, the payee must have the original and a copy of their valid photo identification.
General Information :
1. Sender's full address must be included on all Money Transfers to India.
2. Pursuant to Indian government regulations, money transfer payments are reserved for private consumer use only and cannot be used for commercial or business purposes, for purchase of property, or for investments.
3. Test Question is not allowed.
