SWAJIT Abrasives Pvt. Ltd. is a part of the famous & diversified SWAJIT GROUP OF INDUSTRIES, which was incorporated in the year 1990 by the great visionary, Late Shri. Vishwasrao N. Chavan in association with their sons Mr. Avinash V. Chavan & Mr. Anil V. Chavan. The flag company of the group is –

Swajit Thermotreat Pvt. Ltd. - An ISO 9001-2000 certified company established in 2001 & engaged in Heat Treatment activities for Plain Carbon & Alloy Steels with modern Furnaces & sophisticated Metallurgical Laboratory. The heat treatment processes catered by us are - Carbonizing, Continuous Hardening, and Induction Hardening with Polymer Quenching facility.

Marching ahead & ahead, in 2002, Swajit Abrasives Pvt. Ltd. hasestablished. This unit has also got ISO 9001:2000 certifications from RWTUV. Here we carryout manufacture of the famous “ABRACUT” & “TIGER” brand coated abrasives in both resin (R/R) & Glue (RGR) bond. Having capacity to manufacture 8, 00, 000 Square meter Per Annum with state of art coating plant for “Electro Coating” of grains & ultramodern Cloth Processing Plant. Our range of products includes Belts, Rolls, Flap Wheels, Mops, Sheets, Small Sleeves, Small Belts For Portable Sanders, Plain Abrasive Cloth Discs, PSA Discs, Velcro Discs, Fiber Backed Aloxide & Zirconium Sandering Discs.

PRODUCT RANGE

We manufacture both RR & RGR bonds of cloth backed coated abrasives and also form them in following different forms –

BELTS – Width 15mm to 600mm, Length 300mm to 9500mm.

ROLLS – Length 50mtr, Widths 15mm to 915mm.

SHEETS – 100mm x 280mm and 230mm x 280mm or as per requirement.

FLAP WHEELS – Width 15mm To 100 mm O.D.100mm to 400mm.

MOP WHEELS – With 6 mm spindle. Width 15mm to 75mm, O.D. 20mm to 80mm

PLAIN ABRASIVE CLOTH DISCS – Diameter 100mm to 900mm.

PSA DISCS - Plain Cloth discs coated with Pressure Sensitive Adhesive

VELCRO DISCS – Plain cloth discs backed with VELCRO cloth.

SANDER DISCS – Fibre Backed Sander Discs with Aloxide & Zirconium grains in 4, 5 & 7 inches OD & in 24 to 120 Grits.

EXPORTS
We have entered in the global market exactly within two years i.e. by 2004 we have produced quality withstanding in the global market. During last year almost 22% of total production has been exported to various countries of Asia, Middle East, Africa, Europe, South America.

PLANS
Within the next five years it has planned to manufacture quality products in bonded version.

In the expansion plan, it has been targeted to install another Maker Plant with 1500 mm width capacity to cater extra wide belts market. It has also been targeted to install manufacturing facilities for non-woven abrasive products.

With this “ ABRACUT” brand will be in the market with total grinding & finishing solutions within the next five years.
