90% Saving in Time A hand splice requires skilled labour time-up to hours. An Mechanical Splice is needs no serving.

85% Saving In Material In hand splicing a 5 ft. length of rope is needed to rope is needed to splice 1 ½ in, diameter. In case of Mechanical Splice on a rope this size needs but Seven inches.

No Risk Of Injuries The wires cannot unravel and fry on an Mechanical Splice and’so injure operators and damage merchandise.

Increased Rope Life Because a Mechanical Splice has much longer working life than does a hand splice, ropes need replacement far less frequently.

Identifications A Mechanical Splice an easily be marked with safe working load or rated capacity and, or, any other required information.

Great Strength Because in forming a Mechanical Splice the ferrule becomes ‘one’ with the wire rope the stronger than the rope as world wise tests have proved.

The introduction of ISMAL India revolutionized the whole conception of splicing and replaced the centuries old hand methods with a fully mechanized system providing quicker, safer and more economical terminations now universal wherever, wire rope is used.

The ISMAL System

The patented system comprises, basically, three types of specially designed Ferrule-or Sleeve-which are made in two forms, tapered or straight from Aluminium Alloy, or straight only Copper Alloy. The aluminum ferrules are the suitable types for steel and galvanized steel ropes whilst the copper ferrules are for use on stainless steel ropes.

What It Does

Whilst a hand splice is made by interweaving the wire rope strands thus producing an inherent weakness in the strands always remain separa, the ISMAL system provides a splice infinitely stronger even than the Wire rope which, on test, fails sooner than does ISMAL. The ISMAL system is limited neither in range nor by construction of the rope and can accommodate steel and galvanized steel ropes from 1/8 in to 6 in circumference, ¾ in to 15/8 in (1 to 48 mrn) diameter, stainless steel ropes from ¼ in to 21/8 in circumference 5/64 in to 27/32 in (2 to 21 mm) diameter, synthetic fitire, and some fiber ropes ½ in dircumference, 5/22 in to 13/1 in (4 to 20 mm) diameter.

What It Saves

Because of its simplicity and mechanization, the ISMAL processes provides a technique that makes a splice, termination or join in a fraction of the time needed to do the job by hand. And time along is not all the story, Up to 85% of material used in making a conventional hand splice is saved when the job is ISMAL-ed whilst ‘serving’ becomes unnecessary.
